Axians, the ICT brand of VINCI Energies, and Nokia are expanding their long-standing partnership to deliver secure, high-performance networks across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with a focus on private 5G, optical transport and next-generation communications for industry
Axians, the ICT brand of VINCI Energies, and Nokia have announced an expansion of their long-standing partnership to deliver advanced networking solutions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The two companies said the deepened collaboration will focus on secure, high-performance connectivity for enterprises and industries, combining Axians’ integration expertise with Nokia’s portfolio of fixed, mobile and cloud networking technologies.
The partnership will scale existing joint work on mission-critical projects and support organisations with solutions spanning optical transport, data centre networking, IP routing, private 5G, fixed network access and secure communications.
Christian Cartalas, Axians brand director and senior vice president for global networks, said the deal would “offer a stronger value proposition to the European market,” adding that the partnership is particularly aimed at industries such as utilities and transport.
Axians reported revenues of €3.7bn in 2024 and employs more than 16,000 people in 38 countries. Its parent group generated €20.4bn in revenues last year and operates in 61 countries.
Nokia, which marked the centenary of its Bell Labs research division in 2024, said the partnership reflects growing demand for integrated, end-to-end networks as industries digitise and seek more resilient communications systems.
Pierre-Gaël Chantereau, president of Nokia France and vice-president of mobile networks for Europe South, added: “Nokia and Axians share a commitment to solving business-critical network challenges and meeting the rising demand for robust infrastructure and advanced connectivity. A great example is private 5G networks that help accelerate the digital transformation of industries and enterprises. Together, we are developing integrated solutions and services for all customer needs including fixed, IP, data center, optical and mobile networks.”
